 Leon Edwards has stunned the MMA community, SALT LAKE CITY. In the main event of UFC 278 on Saturday night at Vivint Arena, Edwards knocked out Usman with a head kick in the final round of a contest he was comfortably losing. At 4:04 in the fifth round, the contest was over. Usman was regarded as the world's top boxer pound for pound.

Usman's record-breaking 15-fight winning streak in the UFC was ended by Edwards. One of the most astounding knockouts in sports history took place.


Edwards stated, "I can't even put it into words.

After the first round, Usman had been in complete control of the battle. However, Usman moved to his right to block a left from Edwards, and Edwards caught him flush with a left head kick, whipping the crowd of more than 17,000 into a frenzy. Usman was less than a minute away from defending his sixth championship when he was ruled out on contact.
